The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), (“HKUST(GZ)”), was officially approved by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China to enter the preparatory status in September 2019. Located in Nansha, Guangzhou, the campus covers 1.13 square kilometers and the first phase of construction is expected to be completed by September 2022. At steady state, the number of undergraduate and postgraduate students will reach a total of 10,000. Under the “Unified HKUST, Complementary Campuses” framework, the intended areas of focus in HKUST(GZ) will be thematic and cross-disciplinary in nature, synergistic with HKUST, a world-renowned international research university with innovation in her DNA. There will be four Academic Hubs (equivalent to schools) with 16 Thrust Areas (equivalent to departments).

Duties:

1.Assist in the construction, acceptance, daily operation, and management of the school's monitoring center, and supervise the maintenance service contractors.

2.Be responsible for the 24-hour monitoring duty of the school monitoring center, take timely response measures according to the situation in the monitoring video control area, and do a good job in early warning and information notification.

3.Be familiar with the operation process and specifications of school video and other related systems; be able to operate skillfully and take charge of the setting of monitoring points in the school and the surrounding environment of monitoring points.

4.Sort out, save and retrieve relevant video surveillance video information, assist relevant units in obtaining evidence for extracting surveillance image information, and can handle in the retrieval, registration and filing of surveillance video.

5.Be able to formulate various rules and regulations of the monitoring center.

6.Be able to set emergency response plans to deal with emergencies in the monitoring and alarm center.

1.协助学校监控中心的建设、验收以及日常运行、维护和管理，对维修服务承包方进行监督；

2.严格按照相关管理规定做好学校监控中心的24小时监控值班工作，并根据监视频控制区域内所发生的情况及时采取应对措施，做好预警及信息通报工作；

3.熟悉学校视频等相关系统的操作流程、规范，并能熟练进行操作，熟悉学校内监控点位的设置情况及监控点位的周边环境

4. 整理、保存、调取有关视频监控录像信息，协助相关单位做好提取监控图像信息的取证工作，做好监控录像调取登记建档等工作

5.制定监控中心的各种规章制度；

6.制定应急处置预案，应对监控报警中心的突发事件;Job Requirements:

Qualification Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree, major in computer and electronic engineering is preferred. Diploma can be extended to junior college for those with relevant rich working experience.

2. Relevant working experience in large monitoring center is preferred.

3. Holder of “消防设施操作证” is preferred.

4. Have a strong sense of responsibility, be able to analyze and solve problems under the pressure and be able to adapt to the 24-hour duty system.

5.Good command of communication (talented in Cantonese preferred)

6. Strong initiative, good at thinking and teamwork spirit.

1、大学本科，计算机、电子工程相关专业优先。若有相关丰富工作经验者学历可放宽至大专；

2. 拥有在大型监控中心相关工作经验优先；

3.持有消防设施操作证者优先；

4. 有强烈的责任心，面对压力具备分析和解决问题的能力，能适应24小时值班制度；

5. 具备良好的沟通能力，掌握粤语者优先考虑；

6. 工作主动性强，善于思考，有团队协作精神。

This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
